Axscend launches new TrailerMaster Mobile App

TrailerMaster®, the connected trailer solution from AXSCEND, has launched a new iOS compatible mobile app. The new solution will give users complete visibility of their entire trailer fleet from any computer, tablet or smartphone, without any feature losses on smaller devices.
TrailerMaster® describes itself as ‘the next generation in trailer telematics’, using the latest technology to go beyond basic ‘track and trace’ functionality, to enable a truly connected experience. AXSCEND National Sales Manager, Glenn Young, explains: “Traditionally trailer telematics has been little more than a GPS tracking device, and cost justification has always been a challenge. The TrailerMaster® solution is proven to dramatically enhance the efficiency, productivity and utilisation of trailer fleets, resulting in tangible cost savings.”
Young continues, “The TrailerMaster® system monitors much more than just location, alerting fleet managers to faults with lighting, tyre pressures, EBS, braking performance and more. We’re delighted to be launching this new app which will extend all the benefits of the platform to users on-the-go.”
Using both desktop and mobile versions of the platform, TrailerMaster® connects and integrates the many pieces of equipment commonly fitted to trailers, to provide complete connectivity and control over a trailer fleet via a single integrated dashboard. Features of the platform include maintenance monitoring, tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS), and the AXSCEND’s patented Electronic Brake Performance Monitoring System (EBPMS®).
EBPMS® is one of the most sought-after TrailerMaster® features and is used by some of the UK’s largest fleets. Glenn Young continues: „With EBPMS®, brake performance is automatically monitored during braking events while the trailer is on the road. It is recognised by the DVSA as an appropriate brake test and reduces the burden associated with frequent roller brake testing. What’s more, it dramatically enhances safety, as operators do not have to wait until their next brake test to identify anything which needs immediate attention.”
In 2018, axle manufacturing giant SAF-HOLLAND acquired a majority stake in AXSCEND, providing the platform for investment and development of the TrailerMaster®. One of these developments has been the launch of the new mobile app, which went live in February 2020.
